Middle of the road?
There’s a weird thing that happens with emerging tech products, where the latest new thing starts off really expensive but then not too long after that there ends up being a whole bunch of crappy knockoffs that are way, way cheaper than the original thing.
Suspiciously cheaper. Crappily cheaper. Mostly junk, is what we’re saying.
So while a company like Apple will make a big splash with something like AirPods and then a dozen companies you’ve never heard of can somehow have terrible (but visually identical) versions online a week later, it takes kind of a while for legitimate companies to come up with solid middle-of-the-road alternatives.
JVC is that.
They’ve been around forever and make great stuff. And they don’t want to sell you a $4 AirPod ripoff. But they DO want to sell you vaguely AirPod-like earbuds for more like forty bucks.
Unfortunately, that’s still pretty steep even if they are quite good, so they end up here at two for $25. It happens. So it goes in the middle ground of retail tech.
Anyway, these are really excellent in-ear headphones for a fraction of the cost of the pricey ones. Also, you’re going to get two sets, so if something terrible happens to your first set then (A) they are cheap enough that you’re not upset, and (B) you already have your next pair so you’re not upset.
Good stuff!
