Go Dutch.
First of all, a simple boast on behalf of BK, the company that makes these. These are THE original Dutch Oven. And we mean that. It isn’t “original” like that fast food place in town that claims to have invented the chicken sandwich. And it isn’t “original” like the terrible original version of a movie that was remade into something actually good twenty years later.
No, it’s original in the sense that BK invented these things and they (as a Dutch company) are the reason that these are called Dutch Ovens and not…Volkswagen Ovens or something.
Anyway, the point isn’t so much the pedigree as it is that these are simply a fantastic cooking tool. If you don’t have one, please just lean into the collective conclusion of the entire culinary community and believe that this is something you should own.
And if you do own one, well…you’ve probably encountered plenty of times when you wish it were a slightly different size. Or that you could have a couple going at once. (Especially since you probably only have the giant one which weighs as much as a Buick.)
Regardless, it’s a great time to buy one of these. Buy your first one. Buy your third. Just don’t miss this chance to pick one up at a price way lower than you’re going to find elsewhere.
