Tactical Problem Solving
Look, we’re not here to say that the solution to every problem is always to avoid it entirely.
Just that sometimes it is.
There are actually several categories of conundrum where unrepentant passivity is just the ticket.
Let’s do some examples.
There are problems that would like to weigh heavily on your mind but that you can’t actually do anything about anyway. Global events making your soul hurt? Congrats, you’re a human capable of empathy. But also that’s exhausting and even if you can help save the world, you probably aren’t going to do it this afternoon. Have a nap.
Then there are problems that aren’t problems at all. Like when you’re losing your mind about some embarrassing interaction with someone who, on further consideration, doesn’t matter even a little bit. Live your life. Let your freak flag fly. And, once again, have a nap about it. You’ll care less when you wake up.
But what about problems that are actual problems and happen to be entirely within your control to resolve? Surely those demand diligent waking-hour work to responsibly resolve, right? Probably! But it’s amazing how much better equipped you can be to tackle whatever lies ahead once you’ve invested in your mental health and sanity with some well-timed Zs. Afterwards you’ll see solutions that weren’t even on your radar earlier.
Those lazy little corgi dogs actually seem to know what’s up, is what we’re saying. These designs feature a couple of unabashedly restful pups who are there to remind you that no matter what lies ahead, doing nothing is always an option—at least for a little while.
