Should be free, but…
Sometimes you just take things for granted, like when you get used to the local realtor you’ll never use sending you the promotional fridge magnet calendar you rely on every year. Or how every time you buy a phone it’ll come with one of those tiny SIM card ejector tools and a block for charging the dang thing.

So suddenly a charging block goes from something that always seemed to be knocking around in a desk drawer somewhere to something that’s a bit of a commodity. These things do disappear over time and if you aren’t getting new ones added to the equation every once in a while when someone in the house gets a new device, well…you might have to buy some.
Expensive, though! The factory ones are, anyway. You can also get really cheap examples, but those can be sketchy and you’re at risk of ruining your device and/or burning your house down. Both are bad.
