The key to maintaining modestly fancy vibes around the house (aside from having a bowl full of overpriced wicker orbs on the coffee table, of course), is to have stuff that is just slightly more interesting than standard.
Take glassware. Sure, you could have boring glasses that are just clear cups which don’t have anything to offer beyond being a way to get a drink from the bottle to your face without you having to lap it up from a puddle on the table. But you could be getting so much more out of your glassware. Maybe not practically speaking, but certainly aesthetically.

We’re not talking about anything crazy, but just enough to let people know that this ain’t your first dinner party.
