Smarter switches
Smart devices like this can be habit-forming.
It starts with a fancy lightbulb in the living room and the next thing you know you’re wiring smart switches like some sort of a futuristic electrician.
And we’re here for it.
Because (A) smart switches are a really cool addition to your smart device ecosystem, and (B) getting these things installed is surprisingly accessible—all of the instructions are included and it’s a very reasonable (if impressive) little DIY project.
These are available in dimmable and non-dimmable varieties, and the gist of the whole thing is that you can take whatever it is that your existing switch controls and upgrade to something that you can control and program with your phone. Plus you can still operate it on the wall with your finger the old-fashioned way, so you’re not creating anything ridiculous and over-engineered in the process.
