Unless you’re a lion tamer or something, there’s a good chance that getting in your car and driving around is probably the riskiest thing that you do. And that’s not because you’re boring, it’s because cars are freaking dangerous.
Sometimes those things just crash into each other! And that’s when they’re working properly!
Now imagine that you’re broken down on the side of the road or you’re on E after you SideDeal’d away all your gas money. Suddenly you’re in an even more dangerous situation, just wincing as cars go past while you try to change a tire or call AAA or whatever. Add some darkness or otherwise poor visibility into the equation and it’s a seriously dicey situation.
These help with that. It’s a six-pack of road flares, but they’re battery-powered LEDs that you know are gong to be there when you need them. You can plop them right on the ground or even on your car itself to let people know you’re there. They’re weather-resistant and there are different blinky modes for whatever you think will best get people’s attention. Oh and they can stick onto things magnetically or hang from their little built-in hooks, if that’s helpful.
It’s pretty great.
They’re also just fifteen bucks, which is very nice when you compare to their $55 retail price. We’re all for not getting run over by a distracted driver with a phone in one hand and a latte in the other, but fifty bucks is ridiculous.
So go ahead and get yours and put these suckers in the trunk before you need them. Might make all the difference in a genuinely crappy situation.
