Earbuds that impress
AirPods are pretty common now. (Maybe about as common as $1,000 cell phones, because what is the world coming to??)
But plenty popular. They’ve been around a while. It’s no longer a novelty to see them.
This is nice.
Because when something like AirPods first comes out, there’s always a rush of knockoffs right on the heels of that hot new thing. And those knockoffs…are terrible. They generally look identical to the new product and work like crap.
Today’s deal isn’t that.
Today’s deal is from the second wave of competition. The one where all the shady knockoff artists have moved on to something else and actual companies start making actual products to compete.
Anker, for example? Real company. Makes really good stuff. Didn’t immediately come out with knockoff AirPods, but did come up with something you can credibly buy instead of AirPods and actually be quite happy with it.
