Pre-seasoned goodness
Cast iron pans are great. Ask any serious chef. They’ll tell you.
They’ll also tell you that you’ve horribly abused your pan by seasoning it wrong, cleaning it wrong, and generally being a bad person.
That’s because owning a cast iron pan is a lot like adopting a kitten with complex medical needs that’s allergic to everything. It’s a huge pain and only marginally worth it in the end.
But check this thing out. It doesn’t want anything to do with your silly indoor cooking tasks. It wants to cook outside on the grill, unlocking all sorts of amazing open flame techniques from roasting veggies to roasting fish (the veggies of the sea).
The pre-seasoned carbon steel is ready to go once you wash some protective wax off and you’ll find this to be easy to use and a piece of cake to take care of properly. (Just hand wash it then dry it off.)
Give your needy cast iron a rest. Let’s get you cooking. Outside.
