Go Team! by Andrefellip

Pick a Side

You know, when you have a website like ours with a painfully simple concept behind it— independent artists, two shirts, twice a week—it takes a lot to justify breaking the rules. After all, you start making too many exceptions and the next thing you know you’re just another boring online t-shirt shop.

But as a team comprised (mostly) of people who were alive in 1996, we understand intrinsically that forcing our artist André to choose two options from Pokémon Blue, Green, and Red would be asking him to pick sides in a pop culture holy war of which neither he (nor we) deserve to be in the center.

So there you have it—three designs this time. We don’t make it a habit, unless someone comes to us with a different variant on this particular trolley problem, forcing us to pick sides with respect to stooges or fairy tale bears or musketeers.

Today it’s Blue, Red, and Green. Maybe next time it’ll be Jack, Janet, and Chrissy. (See, elderly Mediocritee fans? We think about you, too!)

Whichever your choice—maybe it’s one of each?—we’ve got the perfect tee regardless of if you’re reliving your late 90s video game antics or embracing some recent retro pop culture resurgence that we’re not sure exists but sincerely hope is a thing.

Go ahead and pick your shirt. (We had to do some manual coding for this!)

Inks

  • Waterbased inks are more like a dye that absorbs into the fabric when printed
  • They have a much softer feel and a more retro or worn look
  • The colors are softer and less saturated than plastisol ink
  • Plastisol inks are made with plastic and sit on the surface of the fabric rather than absorbing as the waterbased inks do
  • Plastisol is very durable and can be felt on the fabric
  • The colors in a design printed with plastisol are brighter and more vibrant than those printed with waterbased inks
  • We decide if a shirt is going to be printed in waterbased ink or plastisol based on the art and the color of the shirt that’s going to be used
