Deep breath…
Humans have an almost uncanny ability to get used to things and stop noticing them altogether.
Which is good.
Otherwise, you’d be forever distracted by the glasses on your face or the weird feeling of having pants on. Oh and that hum the refrigerator makes would drive you all kinds of crazy.
There are some downsides, though. For one, it’s almost impossible to evaluate the quality of the air in your house.
If you walk into any other house, you know in two seconds if there’s some weird funkiness going on. But in our own homes? You just get used to it, except maybe for like 20 minutes when you get back from vacation or something.
But don’t worry, there’s an easy solution to this: simply assume that all the air you breathe is gross in one way or another and adjust accordingly.
If there’s stuff like smoke or dust in the air, this will take care of it.
If you’re a crazy neat freak who manages to avoid both, this will even help absorb the harmful pollutants that can be put off by household cleaning products.
Basically, whatever you have in your air, this can tag in and help you out. Buy one and breathe easy.
