Tricky tech
This feels like something that might have been discovered by accident. Like maybe some engineer was working on a mug warmer and accidentally left a phone sitting there, then noticed it was charging somehow.
(There’s probably an engineer reading this who is super annoyed at the idea that highly complex tech like this would just manifest out of dumb luck rather than through extensive research and development under a haze of crushing school debt, but hey, what do we know.)
Except if we’re being honest with ourselves, we’d have to admit that sitting there with a rapidly cooling cup of coffee and wishing you could put it on that semi-magical phone charging circle to warm it up isn’t an entirely insane thought.
