Hair-sculpting power
One set of clippers isn’t generally wildly different from another. You don’t really want an outrageously cheap one, but it isn’t like an electric toothbrush where there’s a super high end option that’s genuinely way nicer than the competition.
So when you shop for something like this, it usually comes down to the little things—a blade guard you really like, a carrying case that fits super nicely in your luggage, that kind of thing.
For today’s deal, we just want to point out a tiny but potentially game-changing detail. It’s the LED charge level indicator. If you’ve ever been mowing through a beard when your trimmer dies, you know exactly why it matters.
There’s almost no warning. And in its dying breath those clippers are going to mercilessly grab (but not cut) that last patch of hair before latching painfully onto the side of your face. It sucks.
Plus if you want to travel light and bring your clippers but maybe not the cord and all the other accessories, it’s nice to know where you stand as far as the battery goes. (More things should have this. TV remote, maybe?)
Anyway…the LED thing is great, but aside from that, this is just a very solid clipper set. You get all the usual doodads, including four double-sided blade guards to help you nail any look.
Let’s get you clipping. Sculpting? Too weird. We’ll stick with clipping.
