Comforting heft
Check this out. It’s a weighted blanket, but it also looks kind of like a regular blanket that you’d have slung over a chair or whatever in the living room. This is nice because sometimes you don’t want to broadcast to all of your visitors that sometimes you spend your time being firmly compressed by over-heavy linens because it’s the only thing that keeps you from screaming.
Or, um…cozy Netflix couch time. Maybe just that.
Either way, this is a great weighted blanket that’s perfect for bed or for around the house. It’s not outrageously heavy or anything—just 15 pounds—but it will definitely give you the weighted blanket experience in a size and heft that’s still easy enough to move around to where you want it and put it away when you’re done.
The fabric is 100 percent cotton and the weight is little glass beads. Also, there’s some sort of weird internal layering that seems to help keep all of your heaviness from shifting down to one end or the other.
We’re pretty impressed. Oh and weighted blankets are usually kind of expensive. (Probably the crapload of tiny glass balls inside.) So thirty-five bucks is quite a deal. Get one!
