I unpacked the unit, looked at the cover and unzipped it and looked at the foam itself. Although very soft, it holds my laptop very well. My phone fits in the phone pocket.

Laptop stand
This is actually stiff enough to hold my tablet and phone. That is what I was looking for! I bought a book/tablet holder that is similar to this but smaller. It could not hold anything up as it was too squishy and a waste of my time and money.
Just as described and pictured
Although I accidentally ordered two of these, I decided to keep the extra one and make it a Christmas present. It is exactly as described and pictured.
