This laser hair removal system is apparently good for 550,000 zaps, which seemed oddly specific until we realized that on the side of the device is an actual zap meter, which counts down as you use it over time.

This seems…odd.

How long does it take to go through 550,000 zaps? What internal consumable is the limiting factor that prevents there from being infinite zaps? How accurate is the zap meter?

We regret to say that we don’t know the answers to any of this, but have to concede that it’s pretty cool to have a countdown on the side like it’s some sort of video game weapon.
