The future is now?

If we’re being honest, this is really how these wireless charging devices should look—simple, elegant, the tiniest bit futuristic. You get a nice minimalist aesthetic and the tidiness of being able to place your phone on a smooth flat surface and have it start charging without needing to so much as touch a cord.

It doesn’t look like a drink coaster and it’s not a phone stand and it isn’t built into a retro ham radio or something weird like that. If they needed something to wirelessly charge those handheld scanner things in “Star Trek” this would pretty much be what they’d use.

And speaking of not messing with cords and such, the light itself turns on with a simple touch, anywhere you want.

Oh, and if you have a second device that you want to charge bedside, like a smartwatch or a Palm Pilot (you weirdo), there’s a USB port hidden around back.

Not too shabby, right?
