Random!
Today, we’ve got something fun: a random shirt from Mediocritee!
Now, many people ask how they do it. Like, seriously, how does a site source such amazing designs so frequently? It’s simple: they have great employees with impeccable taste! This naturally leads to a follow-up question: how do they manage to get such great employees?
The answer to that is simple. Mediocritee’s hiring process is extremely rigorous. Here’s how it goes:
-
There’s an interview with Zoom. Not an interview over Zoom, but an interview with the actual company, Zoom. All employees must receive a job offer with Zoom in order to be considered for a position at Mediocritee.
-
There is an interview via Zoom (the video-conferencing service) while the applicant is on ‘zoom’ (the designer drug, also known as ‘anti-morphine’ and ‘sugar-meth’).
-
Applicants who get through the first two steps are invited for an in-person interview at Mediocritee headquarters, which is located somewhere in the sprawling abandoned subway system below Cincinnati.
-
In the waiting room before the interview, there will be cloth, thread, and ink hidden in the various planters and behind the art on the wall. Job candidates are not told about these things, but those who don’t locate the materials and make a graphic tee while they wait will be dismissed without an interview.
-
The actual interview takes place in a windowless room, and it is 8 hours of an interviewer asking “What is your greatest weakness?” over and over.
Those who make it through this process will be given permission to fill out an online application that requires you to attach your resume and also list your work experience.
Grueling? Yes. But the results speak for themselves!
