Save some money, creatively.
A robot vacuum is one of those things where it’s really hard to get an exceptionally good deal. It’s not the kind of situation where you just need to wait for a Memorial Day sale or hit it big with one of those scratch-off coupons you get in the mail.
No, for robot vacuums the discounts are usually modest and the price tag hefty. So you have two options.
Option one is to get a crappy one. You’ll hate it. And today’s deal isn’t that. Shark makes great stuff.
Option two is a bit more elegant (not to mention more in line with our own daily deal sensibilities).
The secret…
…is buying refurbished.
As we share from time to time, “refurbished” can mean a lot of things. It could be an open box return that’s been cleaned up, sanitized, and made available to buy again. Or, in this case, it can mean that the box itself is damaged and that apparently it’s easier to offload all those battered boxes (and the pristine products inside) on a site like ours than it is to figure out how to make your average in-person shopper look past some on-the-shelf ugliness.
So what do you get in exchange for your willingness to go with the flow and put up with a lightly battered cardboard box? How about a couple of hundred bucks off of retail.
Now you’re talking.
You’ve found the consumer goods loophole that lets you finally get one of these manhole-shaped robot butlers for way less than the $499.99 that some people are apparently willing to pay.
Good for you!
