I have two pairs that I bought in previous sales. Even when turned off, they are adequate hearing protection for all but my noisiest power tools.
They make it very difficult to hear normal conversation. This is good when I am in the same room as a conversation between other people, bad if they try to talk to me.
The 50+ hour battery life is entirely plausible, as I have never had a battery go too low to work. When connecting, the headphones say “Connected! Battery medium.” if the charge level has dropped to 90% or below.
On the downsides, these don’t connect nearly as fast as other Bluetooth devices.
They get confused if I get a phone call after watching a YouTube video. It starts the call muted. It works correctly when the call interrupts a video.
The plastic shell gets gooey when it gets hit with bug spray. It stays gooey for days. I put tape over the goo.
@hamjudo I have a couple of these and concur on all points. I use one of them for yardwork / lawnmowing and they are good hearing protection for that.
I charged them when I first got them and haven’t had to charge them since, but each pair only gets minimal usage (maybe 1-2 hours total) each week.
My kids didn’t like the way they fit or I would be buying another pair.
As the other comments say. I have a pair of these and they’re great for listening to music and noise cancelling.
However the microphone on the ones I got suck people can’t hear me and I have to use a separate mic when trying to do calls on my computer or I have to just turn them off / use the speaker phone when I get a call on my phone.
