Touchy Subject
There’s something that’s always bothered me about soap and hand sanitizer dispensers, especially in public places. Having to touch the dispenser first.
A lot of places have transitioned to fully motion-based dispensers over the past couple decades, and that’s great, but there are still so many manual dispensers out there that I can’t help but cringe whenever I see one.
I mean, you’re touching it before you wash or sanitize your hands, so whatever was on it should hopefully be vanquished from your hands shortly after.
There’s this instinctual response, though, that you have to get over before touching it. Nobody wants to touch something disgusting even if you know it’ll be cleaned off almost immediately after.
You use a bag or scooper to pick up animal feces. You wear gloves when you have to touch mud or grime. But here you are about to touch something you know other people who have probably touched their butts recently have touched, and you don’t have a choice.
So, how about a motion-activated mist sanitizer? No more touching, and you don’t have to deal with excess sanitizer/soap dripping.
