Listen up!
What the heck? Middle-of-the-road headphones are still a thing? We were pretty sure there were no price points between $150 and two-for-$9.99.
Neat.
So a few things about today’s headphone market anomaly.
First, this is from JVC, a company many of you might remember as a leader in this kind of thing before all electronic accessories came from cellphone companies. Second, they’re really quite good. JVC makes great stuff and having a proper over-the-ear design is pretty refreshing after the many years most of us have spent jamming tiny buds into our ear canals.
With these, you get up to 35 hours of playtime (you know, because they aren’t forced to use a battery that would fit in a TicTac box. You also get a super comfortable wearing experience, with a nice comfy piece to ride along the top of your head.
They fold flat, too. Not as compact as your earbuds, obviously, but plenty suitable for carrying in your bag or whatever.
So yeah.
Great headphones, mildly retro design, novel price point that you don’t see much anymore.
See what you think!
