Terrifying (yet practical)
Okay, it’s time for a little peek behind the curtain. Let’s talk a bit about how that magic happens here at SideDeal.
These amazing deals on awesome products don’t just happen. Ever wonder how they come to be? Well don’t start now, because the ones who work their tails off finding deals aren’t the ones who get to write these daily write-ups about each product. So like noble monks silently making fine wine in a remote valley somewhere, they can continue to toil in obscurity. Suckers.
Instead, we’re going to talk about the good stuff—the writing.
Anyone with any experience writing for the internet knows how this process typically begins, with an editor or someone banging a sturdy stick against a large packing crate as groggy writers reluctantly emerge from their dens to start the workday. SideDeal happens to be significantly more forward thinking, however, allowing their writers to mill about in a more free range setting.
So somewhere out there, a notification dings. A smartphone is unlocked with a swipe. A writer squints cautiously at the day’s product. It’s a charging station. It’s a set of ceramic knives. It’s a Bluetooth speaker. It’s…
…a set of razor sharp fingertips that you can use to open packages like Black Panther?
Yeah, it’s a set of razor sharp fingertips that you can see to open packages. Like Black Panther.
Oh and a protective cutting mat so you don’t wreck your kitchen table. Probably also like Black Panther.
Okay yeah, so back to the behind the curtain thing. This is usually where you’d learn about how we imagine new uses for familiar items or pursue novel and humorous approaches to potentially dull topics.
But damn. We really don’t need to go there this time, because those thanklessly toiling deal-finding folks really just came back with a set of scary cat claws that you can use to slice things open and somehow managed to make them cost ten bucks.
Sometimes writing is easy. Watch this:
[ahem]
These are super neat. You should buy a set.
