We’re going to start out with two things that these headphones are not.
These headphones are not the new Apple AirPods Max. On one hand, that’s a bummer…because those seem pretty great. But on the other hand, there’s the other thing that these headphones are not—and that’s $550.
They are, definitively, not $550.
They aren’t even $550 if you accidentally order 20 of them.
Now we could say that for that price you’re getting more than just a quality pair of headphones. We could point out the exquisite branding and attention to audio detail possible only through a branding partnership with Carlos Santana, But…well, honestly you probably don’t really care.
Black Magic Woman was pretty awesome and everything, but we’re not really looking to 70+ year-old guitarists for advice on Bluetooth headphones. It’s kind of like when Bob Dylan did those Victoria’s Secret commercials. You’re the man, Bob, but literally nobody is looking to you for bra advice.
Wow, we really ended up on Bob Dylan and lingerie with this one, eh?
To get abruptly back to the point, these are great wireless headphones regardless of whose name is written on the side. They are squishy and go over your ears like a proper set of old-school hardware and will make your listening a bit more of an experience than if you just jam some little plastic buds into your ears.
Sure, they’ll probably lack a little certain Apple something, but at a savings of like 95 percent, we bet you’ll like them just fine.
