Not that crazy.
Microwave popcorn is a crime. There we said it.
And while we’re at it? Stovetop popcorn is just a pain. One wrong move and even with all the windows open the house is still going to smell like burning for several hours after the movie is over.
Then there are other countertop popcorn machines kind of like this one, which usually don’t work great and also manage to use all manner of annoying parts that are basically impossible to clean when you’re done.
To heck with all that. What you really want is a hot oil popcorn machine that’s easy to use and delivers a great snack every time.
This is that.
The lid doubles as a popcorn bowl (you’re welcome, whoever has to wash up) and the whole thing packs up nicely into itself when it’s time to put it away. It’s exactly what you want when your only goal is to serve up headache-free popcorn with a minimum of fuss.
Honestly, we’re not even sure why this is so inexpensive. It probably has something to do with them insisting on putting the words “crazy” and “electric hot oil” in the product name together, which to be fair is vaguely unsettling.
But it really isn’t that crazy and hot oil is exactly what you want when it comes to popcorn.
