I got the pot. I washed the pot. I went to make spaghetti IN the pot. Had to remove sticker from inside… relatively easily done. Found ANOTHER sticker on the bottom that WOULD NOT BE REMOVED. I used a knife to peel up a corner. Practically impossible. I used a putty knife to TRY to peel up another corner. Almost did it. Started picking and pulling and no matter how carefully I worked it, the sticker separated. Left paper and “glue” attached to the bottom of the pot. I got a very sharp instrument to peel from another corner. SAME TYPE OF FAILURE. This sticker was made to NEVER LEAVE the bottom of the pot. It was DESIGNED TO LEAVE RESIDUE that would BURN and smell and distribute toxic waste EVERY TIME I COOKED WITH IT!!! WHY???
@Kyeh Thanks. Finding it wasn’t the problem. It’s something I’ll only use once so why bother? The battery of solvents I already have to hand is more than sufficient for my day-to-day needs. And I’ve already started cooking with the pot so… Thanks for your help!

@Jantho That’s awful … but maybe try some Goo-Gone?
@Jantho @Kyeh First try rubbing alcohol IME.
@Kyeh I’ve tried three different solvents, not including rubbing the residue with water. Never heard of goo gone.
@Kyeh @werehatrack first thing I tried after peeling, scraping, and green scour pad and water. Used 90%. Didn’t even phase it.
@Jantho It’s worth a try:
