I’ll be curious to see how long these last. They may have found a sweet spot of ‘yeah, I think I can probably find enough to offset that’ and ‘This is cheap enough that I need to buy it before everyone else sweeps them up’

This $28 price point is compelling, not so much that I won’t feel pressure to buy junk I really don’t need, but will happily shell out $20 for things I *might need
All of my instant regrets have only gotten better! I’m so glad that it’s only 1/person so that I can actually get one! Too many of them have sold out when I have tried purchasing!

There is a limit on how many a single member can get - think of it like this - you have a bunch of college kids at a single address all making purchases - all but one purchase would be denied you fricken goat!
Ok, meh, folks…I’ve been whining about the ‘rebate’ irks at various price points. This one is dangerous and not at all a surprise it sold out. Of course I bit with only $20 rebate buy in. That said, at the old place I got a balloon of covid last week full of Anker kit - open box, but a big win. Let’s see if meh can match it. In this mehrathon I’d love to see an IRK for $20 - make it a true double…but I’d expect if there were one it’d be $19.99.
$20 is a reasonable amount to spend in a mehrathon in order to get a normal priced Irk. Of course, I prefer my Irks with no strings attached.
Some folks will just eat the $28 for the Irk alone and I suppose that’s fine too. (it’s sold out now)
I’m so excited! I love it when they do it this way so that I can actually get one. Even $50 is a great price point for me so that I can actually get one.
@pattyrusk1 How many IRK have you gotten before? My guess is zero. I’ve gotten over 30 and even though know whatever I get will never top the best IRK ever I got, still love the excitement of getting a a package, not knowing what is in it and wondering how much grief my wife will give me when I open it.
@Felton10 I have received maybe 5. I was lucky enough to only receive one “Bag of Crap” when it was through Woot. It truly was what its name implied as I only received woot lights, but I have always enjoyed “grab bags” as a kid. I guess I am just reliving my youth
So this is freaky weird. Clicked on the irk a couple of minutes ago on the meh homepage hoping maybe they had put some aside for VMP’s and members. The irk came up with a counter that said 7 min and some seconds left and was actively counting down. Said 100+ sold. I had been sort of thinking about something so went to look at it again to see the price. Hit the back button and it was back to 900+ and sold out. Did anyone see and and were able to buy one during this or is just my computer meh haunted? The earlier two VMP items the irk was still sitting at sold out throughout their sale, just this third item was different.
@Kidsandliz@pakopako The sky is filled with smoke here in NY, due to the fires in Canada. It reminds me of what the sky looked like when Paradise, Ca., caught fire.

Most of my family members list homes in that fire and they have either rebuilt or moved out of the area. Thanks again for helping out in our community

First, @seraphmonkey, Meh is doing the credit stuff by hand and they only have so many fingers and toes, so it could take a week or longer before your credit shows up in your account.
@spiffytiffy91 No, your IRK is not going to weigh only one pound (well, it could but I’ve never seen it happen). That 1 pound number is just a placeholder. Sometimes it will update with the correct number, most likely it won’t.

@seraphmonkey Admittedly, I don’t pay much attention to whether I receive credit. I just enjoy the anticipation. I’m hoping it arrives by Fathers Day because I’m just going to wrap it up and let my Husband open on Fathers Day. He pretty much has everything, and he enjoys the IKR’s I’ve ordered so far. We laugh at the silly things and are pleasantly surprised when something we may actually use arrives

My very first IRK, and it failed to be tjw worst thing ever (don’t worry I won’t let it go to my head!) Two wall pops which are monogram frames with the entire alphabet not my thing I will gift to my niece. A wireless charger, can’t ever have enough amiright? A travel iron/garment steamer which may actually get used b/c I haven’t ironed in literal decades but occasionally probably should. Lastly a cordless shark LV901 hand vac. Sounds like a winner for cleaning up the car! Of course a nice big ol’ IRK meh bag. I consider this one heck of a deal for $8 bucks!! Next IRK I expect will include some half chewed gum and possibly a rat tail. I’ll enjoy the good times while I have them!

@Lizzards@martinam it’s a charcoal pouch. Put them on something that smells and it absorbs the odor. If it seems to quit working one day it just needs a day in the sun to recharge and start working again. My son uses these.
1st IRK in a couple years. Got a blue IRK bag, a queen size set of plastic sheets (microfiber), a charcoal memory foam pillow (which may or may not expand), 6 bottles of hair spray for extensions, and 9 bottles of glitter paint. Meh.
Got mine: metal wall art featuring a bear (?), 48 bottles of charcoal black acrylic paint, USB DC adapters, 7 strings of solar lights (nice actually), 5 pairs of huge ladies cotton panties, and an IRK bag. Not the best, but can’t complain. Anyone interested in some black paint?
I’m a size xl woman who doesn’t use pillows and often goes to sleep on my queen size bed with wet hair so my mattress has a musty smell and I love the scent of Eucalyptus.
The least useful thing is the wireless charger because my popsocket prevents my phone from being wirelessly charged.
@newby9 They don’t always tape well. Once years ago I got an empty box. Two other times I had a box with the top open all the way with a bit of tape unstuck on half of the box, stuck on the other half. In one case a rolled up door mat kept at least some stuff in as that mat was stuck to the lid tape. Who knows what fell out since a nearly empty big box is the norm even when they stay firmly sealed.
Two mascara, heads for an electric toothbrush I don’t own, a yellow-ish irk bag, a lightweight knit sweater and the only thing of potential value…a set of two solar outdoor path lights. Meh.
10 x 3-pack Black chalk paint (30 bottles ) … could be useful touching up the faded black on my yard GSD decorations but also seems good for other stuff

Luna adjustable pillow!!! This was a surprisingly excellent score…I have neck and shoulder problems and can’t seem to get comfortable with the various pillows I use. This one is super-soft and with the side zippers open it stays pretty cool during the night
@llangley hey I got some of those car chargers in an IRK earlier this year! Didn’t need any more but at least they are nicely packed to donate. But not sure many people need more of them anymore.
Very cool IRK. I received a towel warmer. A high-end one at that. Weirdly, I also got a ton of CR-2016 batteries. Like, a LOT of freaking batteries. Over 100. I LOVE that towel warmer though.

A towel warmer, pure luxury! I’ve always wanted one of those! I wouldn’t have any room for that in my wonderful tiny condo but I am lucky enough to have my clothes dryer right there in the bathroom ready for heating my towel when it’s cold.

@pmarin The folding umbrella would have made me happy if I had gotten an irk. Plenty of rain where I live. In the northwest you must be on the “wrong” side of the mountains as part of that is a temperate rain forest.
@Kidsandliz If it’s cold and rainy I’ll just use a jacket (ideally Gore-Tex) and a hat (usually from Seattle-based Outdoor Research). I had an original Gore-Tex hat from the 1990s and it was made in Seattle. Now they are made in China , but still good hats.
But I was thinking in places like the SouthEast it’s common to be hot & humid & raining at the same time, so for that, the umbrella makes more sense.
@pmarin Outdoor research is a good company. I do have raingear, including a Patagonia longer rain jacket (pull over) that I used to wear sailing but wearing it here is the summer (MS) and you’d be as wet from sweat under your raingear as the rain coming at you from the sky.
Wasn’t there supposed to be some sort of $20 refund or something if you bought the IRK and a certain amount of meh-rathon items? Has that happened? Was it a refund to the CC or some kind of account credit? I haven’t noticed…

It was listed on my card as “Post Payment” and nothing else… I think the bank I use is sub-par because things are always listed oddly. Anyway, I’m all good here! Glad with my purchases, and the IRK was fun. Wish I had gotten luggages, though!
This is the second time I’ve gotten something large and seemingly really good that’s turned out to be unusable. I also got a seated elliptical machine a few months ago that’s just hopelessly busted, with a return sheet enclosed in the box.
@Kyeh@walarney i’ve actually bought those charcoal packets before and they are not bad. You can put the larger ones in refrigerator or closets/drawers, and the small ones you can put in shoes or other small containers. Supposedly if you then put them outside in sunshine and fresh air they will ‘refresh’ and be re-usable.
And yes I got some of those 3XL ladies granny panties also but don’t know what to do with them and even if I did know a heavier old lady, it would probably offend them to assume they are 3XL.

@Kidsandliz I was able to purchase at about 4am ET when they had sold 400+. I am a member, but that was the only time I was able to purchase.

My very first IRK, and it failed to be tjw worst thing ever (don’t worry I won’t let it go to my head!) Two wall pops which are monogram frames with the entire alphabet not my thing I will gift to my niece. A wireless charger, can’t ever have enough amiright? A travel iron/garment steamer which may actually get used b/c I haven’t ironed in literal decades but occasionally probably should. Lastly a cordless shark LV901 hand vac. Sounds like a winner for cleaning up the car! Of course a nice big ol’ IRK meh bag. I consider this one heck of a deal for $8 bucks!! Next IRK I expect will include some half chewed gum and possibly a rat tail. I’ll enjoy the good times while I have them!

That’s all it was, a bottle of poo-pouri and a bag, that had to be thrown out because it was ruined by the poo-pouri. (granted, box wasn’t taped closed, so if there was anything better in the box it could have been taken by postal workers)

@Lizzards @martinam it’s a charcoal pouch. Put them on something that smells and it absorbs the odor. If it seems to quit working one day it just needs a day in the sun to recharge and start working again. My son uses these.
1st IRK in a couple years. Got a blue IRK bag, a queen size set of plastic sheets (microfiber), a charcoal memory foam pillow (which may or may not expand), 6 bottles of hair spray for extensions, and 9 bottles of glitter paint. Meh.

I’m a size xl woman who doesn’t use pillows and often goes to sleep on my queen size bed with wet hair so my mattress has a musty smell and I love the scent of Eucalyptus.
The least useful thing is the wireless charger because my popsocket prevents my phone from being wirelessly charged.

Mine looks like it was Opened. The tape has been pulled off the Box. So I took pictures.
@newby9 They don’t always tape well. Once years ago I got an empty box. Two other times I had a box with the top open all the way with a bit of tape unstuck on half of the box, stuck on the other half. In one case a rolled up door mat kept at least some stuff in as that mat was stuck to the lid tape. Who knows what fell out since a nearly empty big box is the norm even when they stay firmly sealed.

Very cool IRK. I received a towel warmer. A high-end one at that. Weirdly, I also got a ton of CR-2016 batteries. Like, a LOT of freaking batteries. Over 100. I LOVE that towel warmer though.

A towel warmer, pure luxury! I’ve always wanted one of those! I wouldn’t have any room for that in my wonderful tiny condo but I am lucky enough to have my clothes dryer right there in the bathroom ready for heating my towel when it’s cold.

@pmarin The folding umbrella would have made me happy if I had gotten an irk. Plenty of rain where I live. In the northwest you must be on the “wrong” side of the mountains as part of that is a temperate rain forest.
@Kidsandliz If it’s cold and rainy I’ll just use a jacket (ideally Gore-Tex) and a hat (usually from Seattle-based Outdoor Research). I had an original Gore-Tex hat from the 1990s and it was made in Seattle. Now they are made in China
, but still good hats.
But I was thinking in places like the SouthEast it’s common to be hot & humid & raining at the same time, so for that, the umbrella makes more sense.
@Kidsandliz totally forgot until I stumbled on it today, also got a set of Ginsu Knives in the IRK. Still regrettable, but not quite as much so.
@pmarin Outdoor research is a good company. I do have raingear, including a Patagonia longer rain jacket (pull over) that I used to wear sailing but wearing it here is the summer (MS) and you’d be as wet from sweat under your raingear as the rain coming at you from the sky.

This is the second time I’ve gotten something large and seemingly really good that’s turned out to be unusable. I also got a seated elliptical machine a few months ago that’s just hopelessly busted, with a return sheet enclosed in the box.

@Kyeh @walarney i’ve actually bought those charcoal packets before and they are not bad. You can put the larger ones in refrigerator or closets/drawers, and the small ones you can put in shoes or other small containers. Supposedly if you then put them outside in sunshine and fresh air they will ‘refresh’ and be re-usable.
And yes I got some of those 3XL ladies granny panties also but don’t know what to do with them and even if I did know a heavier old lady, it would probably offend them to assume they are 3XL.
