The 2 AA batteries (included) give you up to 600 hours of non-stop runtime. Underneath the easily removable lid you will find an ON/OFF switch that allows you to select a permanently on a glow, or a timer function which will run the lamp for 6 hours on, and 18 hours off. This is a great feature if you want to use the Torch Light as a landscaping accent. And if you want a more permanent placement the base includes guide holes for mounting with hardware.
