Smart lights are cool and all, but it’s weird that we cruised along for like 100 years without asking any more from our lightbulbs than that they turn on when you hit the switch and then turn off again when you hit the switch the other way. Bit of a technological plateau, isn’t it?
Tardy tech evolution notwithstanding, today you can get lights that get brighter or dimmer, plus change colors and do other stuff, all controlled right from your phone. (You know…your phone. The thing that changed so much in 100 years that it basically revolutionized the world. Hear that, lightbulb industry??)
