As promised, this heats up super fast- 10 seconds or less. Holding it with no attachment to steam wrinkles out of hanging curtains, this did not work too well - lots and lots of steam but not a lot of effect on the curtains. Worked best on a man’s shirt that was hanging on a hanger - that worked terrifically well. Why did I give this 3 stars instead of 5? because every time I’ve used it I’ve gotten burned. Not a go-to-the ER burn, but burns, nonetheless. I think this is a design flaw that is begging for a much much longer handle for holding the device vertically. I will be surprised if they don’t issue a recall on this. Meanwhile, it works great, but wear potholder gloves.
