Full disclosure: if you’re some sort of contractor’s apprentice type gearing up for your first day on the job, this drill will get you made fun of. But then again, if you’re some sort of contractor’s apprentice type, you already knew that.

You don’t really use these for drilling. See, we knew you were our target audience! You can drill with one of these in a pinch, but mostly you’re talking about high power that lets you handle screws and bolts and such with ease. Actually, it’s a perfect companion to the drill you already have, because if you’re drilling pilot holes you won’t even have to go back and forth switching the bits back and forth.
So get yourself something that’s probably mildly underwhelming for the jobsite but supremely sufficient for like 99 percent of home use.
