So first of all, to whoever normalized axe throwing as an activity to take place in the back of restaurants in suburban shopping centers—bravo. Really good work. To take something that really seems like it should be part of an expositional scene at the beginning of a Viking movie and turn it into something appropriate for bachelorette parties and corporate team building? Impressive.
The only downside is that even though we’ve apparently decided that this is something that can be done safely at a county fair between the ring toss and that game where you shoot water into the clown’s mouth, there are still plenty of places where sending axes flying through the air is unsafe, infeasible, or otherwise undesirable.
For all of those situations, there’s today’s deal. You get some percentage of the fun of axe throwing (full disclosure: not 100 percent), but without all of the potentially deadly spinning blades ripping through the air.
These foam axes stick to most smooth surfaces with their trio of suction cups and you also get a target to stick up if you prefer throwing at something with point-scoring involved.
