DIY blood pressure monitoring

“Oh, maybe that’s because I do this once a year and have to try and relax while you sit there ready to judge me about it then raise my insurance premiums! Ever think of that?!?”
It’s kind of nice to be able to check your own blood pressure when you feel like it, is what we’re saying. That way, instead of being stressed out while some doctor or nurse pumps that cuff up around your arm like a vinyl-scented boa constrictor, you can actually have a pretty good handle on your ongoing baseline. Then, when you do go to get your “official” reading—no surprises.
This does that.
It’s fifteen bucks and it’ll give you a no-nonsense readout of your systolic and diastolic pressures, regardless of whether or not you know what those words mean. (There’s a reason people always go with “upper number” and “lower number.” Kind of like how they say “good cholesterol” and “bad cholesterol.” Now that we think about it, probably anybody could become a doctor if they made all of the terms that straightforward.)
In any case, this thing is super intuitive to use and will let you know your blood pressure in just a few seconds of automated beeping and squeezing. It also has a memory function, which means you can track your blood pressure over time and use it to tell part of a reasonably meaningful story about your overall health.
