Rainbow glow
Hoo boy, there’s a lot to unpack with this one.
First of all…there is a heck of a look going on here, appearance-wise. And kind of like applying a mud mask or doing any number of other potentially unsettling-looking beauty treatments, it shouldn’t really matter what this looks like when you’re using it because nobody is really going to see. Even so…it looks pretty crazy.
Your dog might hate it, is all we’re trying to say. But otherwise it’s whatever.
Your next question might be about why you need to blast yourself in the face with lights of various colors. According to the manufacturer, you can enjoy the following benefits depending on the light:
Red Light
Stimulates collagen production, reduces wrinkles, and enhances skin elasticity
Blue Light
Fights acne-causing bacteria, reducing breakouts and inflammation
Green Light
Evens out skin tone and reduces hyperpigmentation
Yellow Light
Soothes sensitive skin and improves circulation for a healthy glow
Purple Light
Combines red and blue light therapy for anti-aging and acne-fighting benefits
Cyan Light
Calms irritated skin and reduces puffiness
White Light
Penetrates deep into the skin to accelerate skin repair and renewal
Believe it or not, we don’t have the kind of peer-reviewed laboratory we’d need to properly evaluate these one by one, but we do know that there’s plenty of science behind the benefits of light therapy, especially when it comes to red and blue.
Will cyan really provide specific help around skin irritation and puffiness? Maybe! Will mauve make you better at crossword puzzles? Doubtful! (That one isn’t on the list, we’re just being jerks.)
Anyway, if you’re interested in light therapy, this is that. Lots of colors to choose from.
Enjoy with our apologies to the dog.
