There’s a real difference between water that’s boiling and water that’s right for what you’re making. Green tea scorches at full boil. Pour-over coffee turns bitter. And yet most kettles give you exactly one setting: hot, and good luck.

The Quirky Boil skips that problem entirely. It’s a 1500W electric kettle with adjustable temperature settings, so you can actually match the heat to whatever’s in your cup instead of eyeballing it and hoping.

It sits on a cordless power base, which means you fill it, set it, and lift it straight off to pour without a cord getting in the way. Auto shut-off handles the part where you inevitably wander off and forget it’s running.

The glass body lets you watch the whole process, which is oddly satisfying and also just makes it easier to see how much water’s left.
