Cordless goodness
The name “Hammacher Schlemmer” still means something to a lot of people, but we’re not sure it’s what people think of when they’re in the market for power tools. Maybe that’s why this stuff ended up here, but if you think about it, these mini versions of otherwise loud and potentially lethal tools are exactly what a lot of us actually need around the house. And that’s true whether they’re from Hammacher Schlemmer or otherwise.
Because you don’t always need to cut down a tree. Sometimes you just need to prune a smallish branch. Perhaps you need to trim some wood for a home project, but don’t want to brandish a “proper” circular saw or clear the junk off the table saw in the garage.
Well these thirty-bucks-a-pop options fill that nice sweet spot of being just the right amount of power and precision for all sorts of small-to-medium jobs you might encounter. They’re lightweight and cordless and easy to deploy wherever it makes sense, then will happily disappear into a drawer or toolbox until next time.
They’re the size of tools most people would have if they were honest about the size of tools they need.
But one or the other or both!
