Most portable speakers work fine in one room, for one person, in a pretty narrow radius. You prop one up on the table, the music sounds okay if you’re sitting directly in front of it, and everyone else at the edge of the blanket gets like 60% of the experience.

The Urbanista Sydney solves the geometry problem. Each one is pocket-sized and genuinely waterproof — beach bag, pool deck, hiking pack, none of that is a problem. Bluetooth 5.0 connects reliably from over 10 meters away, so your phone can stay wherever it’s comfortable.

Here’s where it gets interesting: the two pair together wirelessly for actual stereo sound. Left speaker, right speaker, spread them out. Suddenly a picnic sounds like a picnic.
