You are hurtling down the mountain at such speed that you momentarily black out. When you awake, you see a bright light, and think for a moment that you’ve died. But no. You’re fine. A few scratches, a bruise here and there. But mostly okay.
You look up and find you’re back at the base of the mountain, but you can’t handle that hike again. Not to mention, your pack was lost in the avalanche. You have no provisions.
Directly in front of you, a dark forest looms. You make your way into it. Before the tree coverage gets too thick, you see a sparkle, something reflecting the little sunlight that’s made it through. It’s a sword lodged into the ground, and though you’ve never wielded one before, you pick it up and make your way into the increasing darkness.
