Follow the sun?
Power banks are one thing, but did you ever consider just casually harnessing the power of the sun as you walk along on your wilderness adventure or urban day hike?
Because this lets you do that.
You get this small, lightweight solar panel that’s designed to work with this backpack that is objectively very nice with or without the “also charges your stuff” aspect. And it isn’t a battery or anything like that. The panel plugs directly into your smallish devices (think phones or wireless headphones, not tablets and laptops) to deliver a steady, helpful charge over the course of the day. It does very, very little over the course of the night.
But taken together, between the bag and the panel, you’ve got some proper gear on hand for your next adventure outside. The reviews over on Amazon (where you can’t buy this thing right now) are pretty solid, averaging four stars despite some one-star reviews featuring complaints like “needs direct sunlight to charge,” which seems more like a complaint directed towards general thermodynamics rather than this specific product.
So yeah. Outdoor gear as a rule is usually pretty expensive for this level of quality so your forty bucks are about to go a long way, kind of like your phone battery will…assuming you can pull off that “direct sunlight” bit for any length of time.
